Steel replacement bifolds achieve the correct appearance starting with the right choice of product. We use slimline bifolding door systems with narrow insulated aluminium profiles. These then come with professionally applied horizontal glazing bars, achieving that desirable steel look.

Choosing the right colour is important to get the right overall appearance with black matt or dark grey finishes being the most popular. Durable, colour rich and low maintenance, all that’s needed is a routine clean of your door frames to keep your new doors looking good for years to come.

Just like our fully glazed doors, these are German-engineered for the best in performance and reliability. The doors come bottom hung, taking all the weight at the bottom for a smoother glide and light operation. This design also means no risk of bowing or deflection at the head of the frame and makes steel calculations for new extension planning easier too.

Our steel replacement bifolds come with four different threshold options giving you fully weathered to ramp-type low thresholds for disability access or internal room dividers.

As well as powder coated colours, we offer our doors with anodised metal finishes or textured powder coated surfaces.

Your glass choices extend to options for enhanced security, privacy and shade as well as acoustic and solar protection. Choose from double or triple glazing. Then you have the option of integral glass blinds with any of our double or triple glazed units.

For houses in city centres or prone to noise, talk to us about our acoustic glass options. For enhanced security, laminated glass provides an additional layer or protection with improved acoustics too. For south facing elevations we offer a choice of solar glass options such as tinted glass or glass designed to reduce the effect of the sun’s rays on your furniture or fabrics.

Glass

As standard, your doors come with toughened safety glass, having a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill. This glass is of the finest quality for clarity and energy efficiency.

You can upgrade your glass to other solutions depending on the location of your new bifolding doors. For instance, south-facing elevations may benefit from solar control glass or the latest integral glass blinds. These sit permanently within the glass, never need cleaning, won't gather dust and do away with after-market curtains or blinds.
