Technology & Design

Schuco doors come with durable metallic finishes or colour powder coated finishes. The aluminium profiles come as standard with thermal insulation and additional seals and frame inserts. As a result the overall door set offers excellent thermal performance when combined with a good specification glass unit.

Schuco double doors come with thin frames and door profiles, maximising your glass and improving your views. All doors come with safety glass as standard or optional triple glazing up to 52mm thick provides further options for insulation, acoustic performance, privacy and shade. These slimline doors also come at bigger sizes than aluminium or composite doors.

Designed to replace your old doors or for a new extension thanks to the flexible 70mm deep frame making this suitable for replacing old timber windows with minimal disruption to your internal plaster and decoration.

Personalisation

Schuco doors come with a choice of six different door handle styles and options depending on the door design and functionality required.

We offer a choice of aluminium or brushed stainless steel door handles in black, silver or colour matched to special order. Doors operate with a lever/lever or door pull arrangement.

Our doors come with all manner of safety glazing, including solar control glass, laminated glass, triple glazing or solid aluminium panels.

Customise your door with the range of frame profiles and optional midrails, glazing bars, solid panels or patterned glass. You can even add slimline glazing bars creating steel look double doors in your home.

Schuco double and French Doors come tested to the latest performance standards and meet the current Building Regulations for thermal performance.

U-Values down to 1.7 W/(m2K) subject to glass or panel in the door.
Further insulation in the frame profiles having a foam filling.
High security adjustable barrel hinges with flush fitting rosettes.
Security tested to European RC3 (WK3) and cycle tested to 500,000 test cycles.
Fully sealed for weather resistance with air, wind and water performance to current industry standards.

Hardware

Depending on the design of your contemporary Schuco door, it comes with a broad range of hardware and frame option. For instance, the door threshold is insulated and forms a tight seal when you close your door. It also protects against draughts and driving rain, keeping your home dry and weather protected.

The state-of-the-art locking systems in your new doors meet strict security standards and protect your home. There are options for 1-point, 3-point and 5-point locking to meet your individual security requirements. There are even automatic door locks giving you added peace of mind as well as electric locks and self-closing devices.

Glass

Your cutting-edge Schuco doors come with high specification toughened glass units or optional laminated glass for even better security.

We provide you with secure toughened safety glass, having a soft-coat Low-E coating to reflect heat back in the home and make the most of the sunlight. Warm edge spacer bars to the unit edges provide even more insulation and your unit also has argon gas between the glass.

Colour

Your luxury Schuco aluminium door comes with co-ordinated coloured frame and sash profiles with meticulous construction, seamless corner joints and overall quality.

Certified and Quality-checked paint finishes provide outstanding colour sheen and coverage whether you choose any of the 150 RAL colours or the ultra-modern metallic, anodised or dual-colour finishes. There are even textured finishes and structural effects.

Energy Efficiency

With high insulation a key feature of every Schuco product, your door, glass or infill panels works to insulate your home and lower your energy bills.

Door energy ratings vary depending on the configuration, panel type or glass specification. All our options use glass with a centre pane U-Value of 1.2Wm2K and our solid panels offer an outstanding 0.50 or less U-Value. The heat stays in your home and the cold is kept out. This combination of insulating materials provides a comfortable internal environment and helps lower your heating bills.
