Technology & Design

Insulated aluminium profiles to the frame and door leaf combine with high density aluminium decorative panel with durable inner core. As a result, Origin doors come with excellent thermal properties with strength and light weight. On the surface is a marine-grade powder coated finish or a sophisticated application giving all the appearance of a real-wood door. Aluminium is substantially less prone to thermal expansion, will not rot, twist or warp.

Other design features include colour matched and finger-safe gaskets giving both a consistent appearance and protection to young fingers. Two low threshold options provide improved access for pushchairs or wheelchairs as well as a level-floor finish.

The meticulous construction of every Origin front doors includes high specification locks, hinges and handles. The design and technology and manufacturing quality is what provides these doors with a long warranty on the frames, powder coated finish and locks.

Origin doors offer the best in personalisation letting you customise your new front door exactly as you want it. First of all comes choosing your desired door panel with substantial choice of how much glass you want giving differing levels of light transmission into your hallway.

Then choose your frame colour and panel colour. Porch doors come with the option of a midrail, also ideal for back doors with a panel and pet flap. Your door options also extend to a substantial choice of door handles, door pulls or metal architectural handles. Then you can add a door knocker, spy hole or letter box.

Finally you have the choice of a single or double door, with or without side and top framing and three different threshold options.

Security & Performance

You want your new front door to be attractive and functional but security is its main function.

Every Origin front door comes with tamper-proof barrels resisting snapping, picking, drilling and bumping. These combine to the reliable multi-point locking system. Doors with a bar or pull handle come with a 5-point automatic locking system, operated with a key only. This door works with a simple ‘shut and lock’ system, without having to lift any handle to engage the lock.

Doors with lever handles come with an 8-point automatic locking system and offset spindle function. Deep-throw bolts secure and compress your door for the best in security and weather protection. The keys and door barrels come in a choice of two options both with the preferred 3 Star British Kite Mark. Choose from a standard barrel or the upgraded security model with with coded magnetic keys.

Every Origin door comes in internal glazing beads adding to the excellent security features.

And you get to choose stainless steel or a colour co-ordinated finish too. Even the accessories such as letterboxes, door knockers, spyholes and door chains come from the finest materials.

With the lock being so important in a front door, these are some of the best on the market with tamper-proof, anti-drill, anti-pick and anti-snap features. They unlock either the 8 point or 5-point automatic lock. The 5-point automatic locking system only opens with a key and locks the door without having to lift the handle. 8-point locks use the familiar lift to lock operation.

The range of architectural bar handles come in high-grade stainless steel, for maximum luxury with performance and feature hidden back-to-back fixings.

Glass

When choosing any glazed door panel you get high specification glass in a choice or professionally applied textures and obscure finishes.

Colour

Whether you choose a solid or partially glazed front door, you get the same luxurious surface finish, applied to the latest standards and in carefully controlled environments. Your doors meet all the necessary quality labels such as BS6496 and Qualicoat.

Choose our luxurious woodgrain colour and benefit from even more durability. A powder-coated base coat is then finished with an advanced film containing the woodstructure effect. Not only do you get beautiful woodgrain doors but also even more durability to the aluminium surface.

There are no whole-door U-Values for entire door sets as panel designs vary and are personalised. However, you have peace of mind that every door comes with insulated aluminium frame and door profiles, thick Thermimax inner core and insulating glass units.

With aluminium panels substantially more energy-efficient than glass units, all of our door designs provide interior comfort and help lower your energy bills compared to a dated front door.
