Technology & Design

British made and with the best quality materials and sophisticated design. Every Origin aluminium window has high-grade aluminium extrusions with a deep polyamide thermal break. The precision engineering of this window creates beautiful corner details, neat edges and an innovative flush casement design, not available with other aluminium windows.

The design of both Origin OW70 and OW80 windows meets the needs of both very contemporary or more traditionally styled windows. Both products come with an industry-leading 20 year guarantee.

Both Origin OW-70 and OW80 aluminium windows come with a marine-grade polyester powder coated finish, virtually maintenance-free and protecting the aluminium profile in all weather.

Origin OW70 windows are the slimline version available as fixed light and casement windows with a flush casement design on the outside only. The Origin OW-80 window is the premium model. This has a flush casement design inside and out as well as available in large floor to ceiling windows, gable windows, bay or bow options and at larger sizes.

The design of the windows makes them fully compliant to current Building Regulations. They meet both ventilation and energy efficiency requirements.

Personalisation

High quality window handles on Origin OW70 & OW80 Windows come with a locking facility and in 10 different colours. Choose from Slate Grey, Anthracite Grey, Black Grey, Jet Black, Dark Metallic Silver, White, Brushed Aluminium, Chrome, Gold or Satin. There is also the facility to colour match the handles to your window frames.

Colour choice is extensive with six standard RAL colours such as Dark Silver Metallic, Black Grey, Jet Black, Slate Grey, Light Silver Metallic and white. Then there is a further choice of 150 other RAL colours.

Origin Windows also come in woodgrain finishes. Choose from Natural Oak, Golden Oak, Mahogany or Walnut.

Your glass choices extend to options for enhanced security, privacy and shade as well as acoustic and solar protection. Choose from double or triple glazing.

For houses in city centres or prone to noise, talk to us about our acoustic glass options. For enhanced security, laminated glass provides an additional layer or protection with improved acoustics too. For south facing elevations we offer a choice of solar glass options such as tinted glass or glass designed to reduce the effect of the sun’s rays on your furniture or fabrics.

Security & Performance

High security comes as standard both in the design of the windows and the locking systems used.

The OW-80 window range feature the Encloser lock from the trusted and familiar Yale brand. This security lock offers the best levels of window security. Cylindrical cams engage into secure window keeps.

The OW-70 slimline window also has a multipoint lock from the quality Nemesis brand, offering secure locking points in all the critical window areas. Both windows come tested to PAS 24 security standards.

The window hinges also offer security at the hinge points of every opening window having built-in hinge guards. Also available are fire-escape hinges for first floor windows.

Energy efficiency is excellent with both windows exceeding the thermal requirements of current building Regulations. The OW-80 also comes with the Aerogel upgrade, offering even better thermal insulation and an A Window Rating.

Both Origin OW-70 and OW-80 windows come engineered for superior weather performance thanks to built-in seals and gaskets throughout the window.

Hardware

Both Origin OW-80 and OW-70 windows use crafted window components creating either a distinctive flush casement window or a modern casement window. Internally and externally flush casement.

The window hardware comprises window hinges of high-grade ferritic stainless steel, conforming to British Standards and having excellent corrosion resistance. Origin window hinges come cycle tested to 50,000 cycles and resist metal to metal also providing minimal wear. Added to this are hinge guards protecting prising the opening sash open from the outside.

The OW-80 uses the well-known Yale locking system having adjustable and bi-directional cams. These tighten and secure the window while keeping it neat and symmetrical within its frame. Window corners are double crimped for extra strength.

Restrictor hooks, trickle vents, fire-escape hinges are all additional components and hardware giving you added functionality, safety and security.

Glass

Origin windows come with energy-efficient units comprising a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill. We toughen this glass in your home where your new windows sit beside doors or at a low level.

Also available is laminated glass for enhanced security and forming part of many security tests. This glass holds together when broken thanks to a layer between each sheet of glass. So in the unlikely event of an intruder breaking the glass, they're unlikely to get through it.

Choose any of our glass options and enhance your home with added security, comfort and convenience. Of course, patterned or obscure glass options are available for bathrooms, cloakrooms and other areas in your home where you need added privacy.

Colour

The extensive colour range on every Origin window has professionally applied colours, designed to give you low-maintenance windows that are easy to maintain and look great for years.

As well as classic white or contemporary grey or black, there are virtually unlimited choices. Another made-to-order feaure when choosing an Origin product. Choose plain solid colours, metallic finishes and even woodgrain windows on our OW-80 product.

For windows fitted to coastal property, we provide optional protection with special paint guarantees, subject to an individual application. All these features and option available with Origin aluminium windows create a personalised colour-rich product to enhance your home.

Energy Efficiency

Origin OW70 & OW80 Windows window exceeds the requirements of current Building Regulations, giving you A, B or C rated windows. The varying energy ratings depend on the glass chosen and whether you upgrade your OW-80 windows to Aerogel insulation.

Aerogel is a synthetic highly porous solid material, heating the gel creates a new composition used in space, consumer goods, insulation and even in cosmetics. For your windows, Aerogel is an outstanding insulator stopping the transfer of heat even more than already good polyamide thermal breaks. Choose Aerogel in an OW-80 origin window and benefit from A++ window energy ratings, providing exellent insulation in your home and helping lower your energy bills.
