Hardware

Your new steel-look doors come built for the outdoors, having a mechanical construction. Mitred corners use strong cleats and brackets, sealant and are hand-assembled.

The locking systems and handles provide door security using either traditional or modern furniture in a choice of colours. The glazing bars used to achieve the steel look in your doors are professionally cut and applied and use high-grade glazing tape to keep them in position.

Glass

All our doors come with gas-filled toughened safety glass units. The low-e coating reflects heat back int your room and uses high specification spacer bars around the glass edge. Within the glass, units are dedicated spacer bars sitting behind the front and rear aluminium glazing bars. These provide a neat finishing detail as well as masking the rear of the period bars.

Your doors come with a durable powder-coated finish, applied by the systems company to strict quality control procedures. Durable, low-maintenance and easy to keep clean while keeping your doors looking like new.

Energy Efficiency

The U-Value of any building material measures how effectively the building is insulated. The lower the U-Value the better performing the product. Your new doors come with modern insulated aluminium profiles working with the glass to insulate the entire product.

The current U-Value regulations are 1.8W/(m2K) when your new doors replace a dated set. If your doors are for a new build aperture such as a new extension the U-Value is 2.0 W/(m2K). Choose triple glazing and enjoy excellent performance and high insulation. Double glazed products also exceed the requirements of current Building Regulations. Therefore you rest-assured your new steel-look doors perform all year round and help lower your heating bills.
