Technology & Design

Authentic-looking steel look and New York style screens come as fixed screens with applied aluminium glazing bars, creating the desirable multi-panel appearance. Designed to fit directly to your walls or with the option of an exposed edge.

Manufactured from high-quality aluminium profiles, every product is made to your precise sizes and specifications. Choose from clear or patterned glass as well as various glazing bar sizes, achieving the perfect result. This advanced window system also comes in shapes such as with a sloping head, a corner screen or even with inset doors. There is even a choice of glazing beads giving a different looks internally such as square or sloping.

Sightlines start at just 33mm at the frame and 48mm at the mullion or transom. Or there is a choice of glazing bars from 18mm. For larger screens, engineered coupling sections allow these products to join together forming a large run of glazing.

For external screens, security comes with internal glazing beads. Further more, a choice of frames lets these screens fit direct to your walls, stone or timber surrounds.

The colour choices available with our steel-replacement screens offer you a choice of over 150 different colours as well as the unique Sensations and Alchemy ranges. Sensations colours is your choice of modern metallic finishes having a unique textured surface. Tactile, durable and scratch-resistant. Choose from bold dark or lighter colours all designed to create impressive-looking screens rich in colour and finish.

Alchemy is the latest powder coating technology providing metallic colours. All the beauty of a modern metal screen with the benefits of a low-maintenance powder coating.

Hardware

Fixed screens comprise less hardware and components than opening windows and doors. These product come with sealed and mitred corners, internal security glazing beads and a choice of complementary profiles, to suit the size, location and design of the product.

All our fixed screen products come with quality fixings and components providing you with stand-out products wherever you fit them in your home.

Glass

Enhancing the safety and appearance of your internal screens is our toughened safety glass having a soft-coat low-emissivity coating with warm-edge spacer bars. Argon gas between the panes adds to the thermal performance.

Within the glass, units are dedicated spacer bars sitting behind the front and rear aluminium glazing bars. These provide a neat finishing detail as well as masking the rear of the period bars.

This quality glass construction provides an authentic steel-style screen for the inside of your home.

Colour

Our steel look doors are professionally powder coated using global powder manufacturers and sophisticated coating technology.

Black and grey remain the most popular colours for when choosing a steel look screen. Whichever colour you choose, you get the same durable powder coated colour, applied with the latest technology and to strict quality control standards.

Also available are a selection of special colours to really make your new screens stand out. Alchemy colours offer gold, bronze, silver, steel and black metallic and anodised finishes for your new doors. Or take a look at the Sensations range - a collection of textured powder coated colours in a collection of colours with enhanced style and durability.

Energy Efficiency

Energy ratings are not required for internal screens. The quality of our products stays the same as we use the same high specification insulated glass units and thermally insulated frames found in our external windows and doors.
