Technology & Design

Slimline patio doors come with thermally insulated frames protected by a professionally applied colour finish. Also provided are the latest-generation locks with the door set fully tested for security and weather protection. The finest components ensure a smooth operation and high-specification insulated glass units all come as standard.

The sophisticated slide-and-turn or slide-and-fold design allows each panel to work independently, giving you an improved experience than a concertina-type bifolding door and letting you enjoy your entire opening better than a sliding door.

Designed, tested, made and fitted only by FGC Bespoke Aluminium, our unique slim frame patio door features the thinnest possible door mullions with just a 60mm face dimension. Our doors are substantially slimmer than any bifold door, giving you more light, bigger panes of glass and an unobtrusive frame.

Frame head face dimension of 117mm, standard bottom frame face dimension of 124mm, side frame face dimension of 113mm. The low threshold option creates a threshold height of just 5mm.

Product Details

Every detail of our new Slimline patio doors is designed to give you an enhanced door experience, letting light flow into your room. A traffic door comes as standard for everyday use, letting you use one leaf just like a regular door without moving the remaining panels. Personalisation

We help you personalise your new Slimline patio doors for any size opening, with panel sizes up to 1000mm wide and 2500mm high. Available in a choice of over 150 RAL colours, your new doors can blend in with your property or create a statement-piece door in a distinctive colour.

All doors are glazed with insulated glass units, having a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill. These can be upgraded to enhanced security laminated glass, acoustic or solar-control glazing.

The fully glazed door maximises your view, or we can customise your doors in the latest steel look using ultra-slim 31mm astragal bars, giving the grid-like pattern of period glazing.

Security & Performance

All doors come as standard with a multipoint locking system operated by a contemporary lever handle at a minimal 250mm high. Our doors come fully tested to the latest PAS 24 security when specified with laminated glass, and with extensive sealing.

U-Values comfortably meet current Building Regulations for new build and replacement door installations.

Glass

High-specification safety glass comprising clear toughened safety glass, Argon gas fill and Planitherm 1.

Colour

Professionally applied powder-coated colours are low maintenance and durable. We offer a range of standard stock or 150 colours in the RAL colour collection on slightly longer lead times.

Energy Efficiency

Doors meet current 2022 Building Regulations for door replacements or new build extensions and homes, with U-Values as low as 1.2Wm2K when double-glazed or 0.8Wm2K using triple glazing.
