Technology & Design

A 75mm deep frame makes these doors ideal for replacing your old doors such as timber, upvc or aluminium. For new extensions, the doors offer a modern aesthetic with a square appearance and chamfered glazing bead.

Highly insulated aluminium frames come with a marine grade powder coated finish with low-maintenance properties.

Unique for aluminium doors is the Q-Lon seal in place of conventional rubber gaskets. Durable, easy to clean and comes in a choice of seven colours to match the doors, and no black gasket lines especially prominent on white doors.

Personalisation

Origin single doors offer substantial options for personalisation starting with colour. As well as popular white, grey and black finishes is the further choice of 150 different RAL colours. Also available are four wood-effect finishes using a sophisticated sublimation process. This creates an authentic wood effect door with none of the maintenance associated with wood.

Colour-matched door seals offer you a better looking door compared to other products replacing the conventional black gaskets. Easy to clean, durable and enhancing the appearance of the door.

Choose from Yale handles in black, white, chrome or gold or add the luxury Hafi handle in five different styles, coming in satin stainless steel with separate cylinder escutcheon.

For side doors or porches an optional midrail divides your glass giving you a glazed top and solid panel on the bottom with optional pet flap. The midrail comes horizontally fitted with a 60:40 split, or 50:50 split.

Glass choices offer options for enhanced security with laminated glass. Triple glazing offers enhanced thermal performance and acoustics.

Security & Performance

The 8-point multi-point lock is developed by Origin offering outstanding security and reliability. Deep throw bolts combine with shootbolts. The locking system meets current security standards and Document Q for new build homes.

The door cylinders offer two types for security both with 3-Star British Kite Mark TS007:2014 and optional magnetic keys.

A double glazed origin door meets current Building Regulations for thermal performance with typical U-Values of 1.6 W/ (m2K).

Doors also meet PAS 24, BS6375 Parts 1, 2 and 3 as well as meeting ISO9001.

Origin single doors feature all the engineering and high-quality components of their matching bifolding doors OB-49 and OB-72. Starting with the door hinges, these are designed for the doors and have full sealing, adjustment and security features.

The sophisticated 8-point door lock secures perfectly into the door frame having some of the deepest engaging bolts amongst modern residential doors. Combined with a high security door cylinder your new side or back door secures your home for your peace of mind.

And unlike many other brands of single doors, the door hinges come engineered to open your single door 180 degrees for a more useable and wider door opening.

Glass

Origin single doors come with the latest toughened safety glass, having a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill.

With these doors being perfect in your home as side or back doors, we offer options for solid panels beneath the glass with a pet flap or even cut into the glass itself. Additional security comes from laminated glass or tinted glass. Your doors come either fully glazed or with an optional midrail.

Colour

Your new Origin French doors come with the latest advancements in colouring technology. Whether you choose a standard or special colour, you get the same luxurious surface finish, applied to the latest standards and in carefully controlled environments. Your doors meet all the necessary quality labels such as BS6496 and Qualicoat.

Choose our luxurious woodgrain colour and benefit from even more durability. A powder-coated base coat is then finished with an advanced film containing the woodstructure effect. Not only do you get beautiful woodgrain doors but also even more durability to the aluminium surface.

Energy Efficiency

The polyamide insulating the door profiles as well as the low U-Value glass all work together to create a secure and energy-efficient door.

U-Values on residential doors vary, however, we offer glass with centre pane U-Values of 1.1W/2mK. Solid panels below your midrails go even lower at 0.50 or less. Therefore, you are assured of the latest energy-efficient aluminium door, meeting or exceeding current Building Regulations whether you are replacing old doors or for a new extension.
