Technology & Design

Thermally efficiency comes from durable and slim aluminium sections with polyamide thermal barrier technology. As a result, these slimline doors combined with quality double or triple glass exceed the requirements of current Building Regulations. You benefit from improved thermal transfer making these windows energy efficient and helping to reduce condensation compared to poor insulated single glazed windows.

Alitherm single doors come with extensive choices of colour including some specialist finishes only available with this product. For instance, the Sensations and Alchemy range offers textured powder coated finish giving you modern tactile surface finishes, perfect for modern decors.

Being aluminium, you get strong doors without the additional reinforcements found in PVCu or composite doors. And this strength with thin frames give your larger door and window sizes than other materials too. Best of all these doors are up to 50% slimmer than typical PVCu residential doors.

Personalisation

Personalise your new aluminium door with the choice of a contemporary look using a square frame, flat door sash and square detail on the inside. The traditional option comes with a profiled frame, flat door sash and bevelled appearance inside, replicating the ovolo style of a traditional door.

Then choose your door design. All doors come with opening in or out options, hinged on the left or the right. You can have a door with a midrail, glazed top and bottom or with a solid aluminium panel. Or add vertical bars to the top pane for a more traditional look. Or why not set the midrail low for a contemporary door with more glass to add light? You also get to choose between a standard weathered step-over threshold or a low threshold, perfect for pushchairs or wheelchair users. As well as functionality, the low threshold creates a flush look and has a minimal step-over.

Choose from straight or swan-style handles in seven different colours. We offer white, black, grey, graphite, chrome, satin silver and gold. The come with matching or contrasting colour hinges too.

Finally you get over 200 different colours to choose from including special textured surfaces and even woodgrain aluminium. Every colour comes with the same low-maintenance properties and needing an occasional clean.

Hardware

For side, rear or porch doors, your new Alitherm single door comes designed and engineered for optimum reliability, security and strength. Your door has a tried-and-tested mechanical hand-assembled construction with stong brackets and cleats at the door and frame corners, with these corners, also sealed against water entry.

The primary door hardware comprises a lever/lever or lever/pad lock using a high security cylinder. Hinges and lock mechanisms come with adjustment, so we ensure your finished door is set up correctly and for optimum performance. A lift-to-lock operation secures your door and your home.

Glass

As standard, we provide energy-saving sealed units with a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill.

With toughened safety glass as standard, your doors are safe, secure and protected. Or you can upgrade to higher security glazing, and obscure glazing for porch doors.

Colour

The durable powder-coated finish on your new doors is professionally applied at source using the latest technology and quality control procedures. Every colour comes with low-maintenance properties only needing a routine clean with a mild soapy solution.

Add a contemporary or heritage colour using our specialist finishes. Alchemy colours give you options for silver, gold, steel and black metallic doors. Anodised finishes are also available. Sensations colours come in a metallic tactile surface finish with incredible durability and a unique finish to your new doors.

Energy Efficiency

Current Building Regulations call for U-Values of 1.8W/(m2K) when replacing existing doors or 2.0W/(m2K) for new building projects. Our glass comes with a centre pane U-Value designed to work with the insulated frames and exceed the requirements of current Building Regulations. Therefore you rest-assured your new aluminium doors perform all year round and help lower your heating bills.
